Returned from Vermont to find that the new method of securing poems to the tree has been very successful—Pastan, Frost, Hirsch all remain in place as does the prior Graham poem hanging by some yarn and the Brooks poem tucked into the hollow branch. A new poem has appeared, Lord is not a Word by Christian Wiman, hanging in a zip-loc bag from a piece of yarn. The participation of the community in sharing beautiful poems in a creative and caring way is quite wonderful.
